The head football coach is responsible for the organization and management of the entire football program. Strong preference will be given to applicants who possess, or are able to obtain, Washington State teaching credentials and are willing to teach at Shelton High School. Immediate teaching positions will be available; candidates with teaching credentials are strongly encouraged to apply for the teaching position(s) when posted.
The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, a positive education-based approach, and a deep understanding of the game. Candidates should be dynamic, energetic, motivated, and commit the required time for a successful program.
The coaching position is paid a stipend that is dependent on qualifications and experience; salaries for teaching positions depend on experience and education, as well as other provisions provided for under the teacher’s bargained agreement.
