Job Purpose: Facilitate and coordinate building operations within an assigned facility. Includes coordination of building maintenance and repairs, office moves, delivery and installation of furniture and equipment, building access control and deliveries. Serve as project manager for facility renovation and construction.
Major Responsibilities: Makes certain that building maintenance functions (both routine and emergency) are carried out in a complete and timely manner. Arranges for office moves within facility; ensures they are carried out as scheduled. Oversees the delivery and installation of building equipment. Maintains building access control system including card entry and office key management. Makes arrangements for special events scheduled for facility. Orders building repair services as needed. Coordinates outside vendor/contractor services. Coordinates annual equipment inventory and maintains related records. Oversee building renovation and construction projects. Manages and updates the Redbook and an emergency preparedness plan for facility(facilities) and all related procedures, on an annual basis. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information: Position requires the ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Impact & Influence: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Operations, Facilities, Grounds, Marketing, Concessions, Tickets, Development, Communications, Business Office, Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, campus partners, external partners. Education: High School Diploma, GED Certification or Vocational School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience: Five to seven years job related experience.
Skills: This job requires skills in organization, communications, staging operations, general building maintenance processes and scheduling, construction project management. Use of office related computer applications is required.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Work Experience: Minimum three years of progressive, related work experience Serve as primary event manager for Baseball and stadium manager for Football, and provide assistance for other team members as needed. Manage building scheduling and maintenance for Bobby Dodd Stadium, Brock Indoor Practice Facility, Rose Bowl, and Russ Chandler Stadium. Assist with all NCAA and ACC championships hosted by GT Athletics. Oversee the assigned facility and event operations budgets. Create and track purchase order requests and vendor payments. Coordinate and approve facilities staff time sheets. Oversee maintenance request tracking system. Place, track and log work orders. Serve as Athletics custodial vendor liaison. Assist with the coordination of Athletics access control systems. Oversee or work special events and rentals as assigned. Manage capital and special projects as assigned. Partner to develop and execute contingency plans for emergency and severe weather scenarios. Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external constituents. Cooperate with the Athletics compliance office regarding NCAA rules and policies, including reporting requirements, and make a determined effort to ensure that staff and teams are in compliance.
