The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes full University benefits.
Responsibilities: Perform all duties as a full-time countable coach, including prospect evaluations, on-campus, and off-campus visits, permissible communication periods with prospective student athletes, and eligibility criteria. This is an NCAA Countable Assistant Coach - specific position coaching responsibilities to be determined. Assist in the development of playbook materials; handle personal counseling needs of players directly supervised; public speaking and promotion; other duties as assigned by head coach.

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) is required.
Three to five years of experience working in a highly competitive football environment as a collegiate or professional coach.
Working knowledge of and ability to:
work constructively and collaboratively with individuals of diverse backgrounds;
utilize basic office productivity software and online database systems (please specify).
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as demonstrated through public speaking engagements, clinician experience, and use of effective and creative training/coaching techniques.
Demonstrated experience organizing and managing complex functions on behalf of an organization.
Three to five years of successful football coaching experience in one of the following areas: head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator or position coach (please specify).
Three to five years of demonstrated success in recruiting
Demonstrates extensive proficiency and ability to:
utilize a video analysis system (please specify)
utilize an online recruiting database (please specify)
maintain productive, long-term relationships with staff, students, prospect’s coaches, and patrons.
