Description The CU Boulder Athletics Department is now accepting applications for an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
This position will assist the Head Athletic Trainer, Athletic Training Personnel and Operations Supervisor in maintaining the direction of the Athletic Department’s Sports Medicine Program.
What your key responsibilities will be:
Sport Coverage: •Prevent and care for athletic related injuries for all sports programs. •Provide primary responsibility for Football. •Provide secondary sport coverage for Ski. •Maintain accurate and up to date injury records and daily correspond with the coaching staff. •Provide coverage of all off-season conditioning sessions in conjunction with the rest of the athletic training staff as mandated by the NCAA.
Student Intern Program: •Coordinate the recruitment and hiring of sports medicine student interns. •Oversee the budget for student interns and monitor their payment for hours worked in Sports Medicine Department. •Assist in the supervision of a sports medicine intern program, which includes teaching and evaluation.
Administration: •Assist in the recruitment and hiring of athletic training fellows. •Oversee inventory of Gatorade products and accessories. •Assist with maintenance of the aquatic therapy area of the Sports Medicine Department.
Departmental Responsibilities (Continual): •Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of NCAA, PAC 12 Conference, University and departmental rules and regulations. The violation of NCAA or Conference rules on the part of Athletic Department Personnel may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. •Adhere to principles stated in the Athletic Department’s Mission Statement and promote loyalty to the mission by all staff and student-athletes under his/her supervision.

2-3 Years post-Masters experience working with college or professional sports team in an Athletic Trainer capacity.
Experience working with Football.
Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
