The Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF) is seeking candidates for the Assistant Director of Athletic Development (full-time, 12 month) position. This position will cultivate and solicit financial contributions within and outside the Greater Hampton Roads area to support the ODU Athletics department. Additionally, this position will assist the Assistant Athletic Director, Development to identify, qualify, develop and sustain relationships with individuals and businesses for the purpose of selling premium seating for football and men’s and women’s basketball.
Required Education: Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with work experience equivalent to a master’s degree.
Required Qualifications: Experience in collegiate athletics. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate the athletic fundraising objectives to all constituents through personal visits, direct mail campaigns, and special events. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team members.
Preferred Qualifications: Some experience within fundraising.
