The school seeks an outstanding educator for: Head Football Coach/Physical Education teacher to: oversee the entire football program – varsity, JV and Middle School teams and their coaching staffs – in partnership with the Head of Athletics/Assistant Head of Athletics; work closely with the Head of Athletics on program development, training, and coaching of the football staff as a whole; teach section(s) daily of physical education classes as assigned by the Head of Athletics/Physical Education Department Chair; perform all duties inherent to the role of Head Coach of an interscholastic varsity team at Greenhill; work in partnership with the Head of Athletics to identify and attract potential student-athletes to Greenhill within the School’s admission guidelines and processes; support the rules, regulations and spirit of competition and sportsmanship established by Greenhill School and the Southwest Preparatory Conference; with the marketing and communications office coordinate the promotion of the football program (Grades 7-12) in conjunction with the mission of the school; collaborate with the Head of Athletics on hiring, retention, evaluation, and professional development of the football coaching staff; schedule and organize practice sessions; schedule scrimmages/games in conjunction with the Head of Athletics; coordinate summer football camp/clinic selections with families of players wishing to be more competitive and work closely with the College Counseling office in the recruitment/placement of players in NCAA/NAIA football programs; generate additional support for the football program by partnering with Hornet Sports Association (HSA) and raising awareness of flag football teams in grades K-6.
