Director of Ticket Operations reports to the Associate Athletics Director, Ticket Operations. The major duties of this position include assisting in the distribution of tickets for athletic and special events, supervising full-time and part-time clerical staff and ticket sellers, and overseeing the ticket office computer system.
The position involves extensive customer contact and requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Additional duties include customer service, interacting with a large number of donors, members of the University community, alumni and the general public.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1. Assist in the management and administration of all aspects of the athletic ticket office. 2. Assist in the training and supervision of support staff, including part-time, temporary employees, game-day staff and students. 3. Assist athletic development with coordination of point program. 4. Oversee and manage Spectra (formerly Paciolan) Ticketing Software for department. 5. Administer all hardware in the ticket office. 6. Oversee online ticket sales. 7. Allocation and printing of tickets. 8. Assist assigning seating arrangements for home football and men's basketball games using the department's priority seating arrangements. 9. Primary administrator for Men’s Basketball. 10. Provide assistance and support to Assistant Athletics Director, Ticket Sales & Service and ticket sales representatives. 11. Assist in ordering, storage, and distribution of tickets for athletic and special events. 12. Customer relations. 13. Maintain and monitor ticket-related records for the department, and records of financial activities. 14. Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA. 15. Other duties as assigned.
1. Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree or demonstrated equivalent in work experience; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. 2. Supervisory experience, as well as the ability to work with various constituencies. 3. 3 to 5 years of ticket office experience preferred 4. Knowledge of Paciolan Systems software preferred 5. Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big Ten Conference and Northwestern University preferred
