Position: Campus Director of Football & Head Coach (This position is available at both our Statesville, NC & Salisbury, NC campuses)
Preparing budgetary requests for all PC Football travel, equipment purchases, and facility upkeep, etc. Coordinating with coaches about the scheduling of games and practices. Collaborating with conferences and leagues about scheduling issues Speaking with league officials about regular and postseason play Determining the time allocated for a field, court, or weight room. Coordinate team travel. Coordinating officials and umpires at games. Filing reports on the status of each team and its successes and shortcomings. Mediating any disputes between athletes and coaches or between coaches Develop, manage, and supervise developmentally appropriate athletic teams in line with the PC’s overall spiritual, athletic and educational mission and goals and are accessible to all students. Work with the senior leadership team to continue to innovate and develop a strategic vision for Football at Power Cross. Represent Power Cross in all league and athletic associations, including and attend all meetings. Ensure that all coaching positions are filled with competent and properly trained coaches. Supervise, develop, and evaluate all coaches. Oversee the distribution, collection, storage, upkeep, and replacement of all school athletic uniforms and equipment. Ensure that athletic fields and facilities are prepared for hosting practices and athletic contests. Communicate with both students and parents regarding appropriate expectations for each level of competition. Ensure that all athletic equipment, facilities, fields, and courts are safe for daily use. Maintain accurate records of team and individual athletic statistics and accomplishments. Organize coaches’ meetings at the beginning of each season to review expectations, guidelines, and rules of play. Distribute weekly facility schedules so coaches can plan and participate practices accordingly. Secure the necessary number of qualified officials for each home contest. Submit requests and distribute athletic apparel for coaches. Work with the Middle School/High School coordinator to develop recruiting camp schedules for high school participants. Perform other duties as determined by Power Cross Executives that will assist in building up the young men of Power Cross.
