Assistant Athletics Trainer

The University of Akron, a NCAA Division I Institution and member of the Mid-American Conference is accepting applications for five (5) full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer positions. These positions will provide primary health care to a variety of sports which will include coverage for Football, Football/ Baseball, Track & Field, Women’s Lacrosse/ Softball and Volleyball/ Women’s Swimming & Diving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide athletic training services in the administration of health care to University athletes.
Plan and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
Maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments.
Make referrals to and interact regularly with team physicians and other health care consultants.
Requires a minimum of two years of experience of athletic training in a Division I college setting
Knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology and evaluation and rehabilitation techniques
Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and computer skills
