The Assistant Director of Digital Strategy will assist Director of Digital Strategy, under the purview of the Assistant Athletics Director of Communication, in the implementation and activation of the brand advancement campaign for 16 nationally recognized sports programs and organizational content through the generation of progressive graphic designs / illustrations / motion graphics/animations/creative video. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: collaboration with the communications, broadcast services, and sport program (primarily football) staff in the development, maintenance and advancement of the athletic department’s brand identity through original and creative design concepts; and the production of original, and creative designs and motion graphics covering a variety of print and web-based materials, including digital and social media, posters, game programs, signage and large-scale facility graphics, advertising, tickets, website and email graphics, social media graphics, logos and varied promotional materials as needed.
This position will partner with other athletic department creative, video, and marketing staff to ensure that social media platforms and RaginCajuns.com are in line with the department’s overall strategic communications, branding, and marketing objectives.
The Assistant Director of Digital Strategy is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all university/department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, conference and the NCAA.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one (1) years appropriate experience. Appropriate graduate school coursework or master’s degree may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Prefer demonstrated graphics experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. Strong attention to detail and communication (written/verbal) skills also preferred. As a Louisiana Athletics staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the Louisiana Athletics program.
