The Assistant Athletic Director position includes, but is not limited to game day operations, facility management, new hire orientation, Tornado Club management, work-study and sport oversight. A full-time position including benefits.
Familiarity with NCAA DIII athletics, and USA South Athletic Conference rules and regulations with the ability to clearly communicate with coaches, student-athletes and donors, availability to work many nights and weekends, and connect with the community through organizations and committees. Applicant must work well under pressure, have the ability to adapt, and make appropriate decisions swiftly.
Medium work – exerts from 10-25 lbs of force often. Subject to inside and outside conditions and repetitive motors.
Essential Functions: •Serves as the Tornado Club Liaison •Coordinate corporate partnership program including game day sponsors •Secures hospitality events for home football and basketball games •Serves as a liaison between Athletics and the Admissions Department •Game day operations manager •Directly responsible for supervising work study •Responsible for new hire paperwork and orientation •Responsible for hire departure paperwork and retrieval of college property •Supervise inventory of athletics merchandise and apparel •Sports Information oversight •Educate Coaches and Staff regarding business policies and procedures, including ongoing educational sessions, new employee orientation, and the annual orientation session •Oversee the revision and maintenance of best practice for business related policy and procedure •Schedules monthly departmental meetings and keeps minute records •Coordinate and facilitate athletic department events •Update and revise all staff and student handbooks yearly •Creating and implementation of in game and game day promotions for home athletic events •Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
