North Park University, a member of the nationally recognized College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, invites applications for the position of Head Football Coach. This 12-month position directs all aspects of the intercollegiate football team including recruitment, retention, coaching, scheduling, team travel, and budgeting.
Manage all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.
Ensure a commitment to the academic success of football student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community.
Participate in fundraising and development events and be highly visible in the community.
Hire, supervise, develop, and evaluate an assistant coaching staff including four full-time positions.
Organize, plan and conduct safe team training during practice and conditioning activities.
Manage a successful program with the highest standards where student-athletes are empowered to lead lives of significance and service.
Complete other duties as assigned by the athletic director or associate athletic directors.
A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree is preferred.
Must have extensive knowledge of the sport of football.
Demonstrated successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level.
A personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
Able to work a schedule appropriate to coaching a team (i.e. days, nights, and weekends).
Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
A valid driver’s license is required.
