The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking a Assistant Director, Creative Media. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving the football program in the area of creative services producing video and marketing communication materials that consistently identify, driving and communicating information about players and the team on a variety of platforms, including but not limited to print, web, social media and internal team distribution; creates content for recruiting and helps with media, marketing and motivational strategy for the team. Works with the Director, Creative Media & Post-Production and coaching staff to produce internal highlight and motivational content. Works with Director, Player Personnel to produce creative and innovative content for incoming recruits. Helps to determine creative direction, plans, estimates and timetables for projects. Assists in game day video operations, including but not limited to setup and teardown of audio/visual equipment at team hotel and locker room. Present on field and in locker room on game days. Work nights, weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours. Required to work quickly, efficiently, and with adaptability under strict deadlines. Responsible for projects from start to finish. Serves as a liaison for the football program and with other areas of the department and the University. Ensures compliance with NCAA, Big Ten and University policies and procedures. Performs other related administrative duties as they relate to daily football operations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.
Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite required, specifically Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. Work experience and knowledge of video production, including but not limited to shooting, non-linear editing, color correction, audio editing. Experience shooting football game action required. Experience within NCAA Division I college football program desired. Proven success producing creative and innovative multi-media content. Experience in other multi-media production platforms (web sites, animation, graphic design) desired; knowledge of professional and cinematic video cameras required, including but not limited to Sony FS7, FS5, FS700, a7s, and/or a6500. Knowledge of a collegiate athletics department and the NCAA structure desired. Strong communication skills, creativity, and flexibility desired. Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage numerous deadlines effectively required.
