Florida International University in Miami is seeking applications for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. FIU is a member of Conference USA and offers eighteen (18) NCAA Division I sports programs. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning to enhance the physical and mental development of intercollegiate student-athletes through the establishment of sports specific training programs that intensify the physical strength, speed, and cardiovascular conditioning of the student-athlete. Primary sports coverage and experience is required in football and basketball. Instruct, monitor and educate all student-athletes regarding proper weight training techniques and designs training programs for both improved performance and injury prevention. Assist in the general operation and maintenance of the athletics weight room and attend practices and competitions. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years specialized experience.
