South Dakota State University is accepting applications for an assistant football coach. This position will assist Head Football Coach with maintaining a competitive Division I-FCS football program. Coach defense with specific responsibilities for assisting with defensive line; recruitment of prospective student athletes; administrative duties; assist with summer camps; fundraising; and other duties as assigned.
Earned Bachelor’s degree by appointment date;
At least one year collegiate football coaching experience dealing with defense, preferably defensive line, at any level;
Commitment to promote an atmosphere of compliance to institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations;
Proven career path;
Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills;
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Experience coaching defensive line;
Proven ability to recruit student athletes;
Division I-FBS or I-FCS collegiate coaching experience;
Knowledge and adherence to NCAA Division I rules and regulations;
Demonstrated summer camp, fundraising, and public relations experience.
