The Northern State University Athletic Communications department is seeking a graduate assistant for the 2019-20 academic year. The successful applicant will serve a 2-year assistantship with the department.
Responsibilities: The candidate will be the primary production manager for the Northern State webcast and Wolves Athletics video channel. Day-to-day duties will include athlete video features, social media highlights and GIFs, video board and in-game production, and webcast set-up and tear down. In addition, the candidate will be the primary media contact for the cross country and track and field teams. The candidate will be a vital part of the multimedia effort of the department, which is a continually growing field.
Work Schedule & Compensation: Varied working hours, night and weekend hours common with office hours dependent on weekly game schedules. The candidate will receive a tuition waiver and a stipend, which is paid on a monthly basis.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a 2.75 minimum cumulative GPA required with the ability to balance fast-paced work environment. Video filming and production knowledge, writing skills, photography and design skills. Must have the ability to balance a fast-paced work environment. Prior video production experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
