James Madison University, a Division I Member of the NCAA and Colonial Athletic Association, is accepting applications for a part-time Athletic Ticket Office Assistant. The position will run through April 30, 2020 with a possibility of renewal for the 2020-21 academic year based on performance.
Duties include but are not limited to, assisting the Athletic Ticket Office staff with coverage of ticketing three Division I sports; assisting with football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, post season play and other special events; and ensuring compliance with all relevant institutional, CAA and NCAA rules.
Interested applicants must have some experience (undergraduate placement considered) in an intercollegiate or professional sports team’s ticket office or related field, student assistant or internship experience is acceptable. Applicants must possess strong customer service skills, strong writing skills and editing ability. Graphic design skills are a plus. Candidates must be highly motivated, energetic and be able to manage a work schedule that includes nights and weekend work. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
