Position Overview: Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Assistant Manager, Events and Facilities for Boise State Athletics. The successful applicant will become part of our team as we build a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. The individual in this position will oversee Athletic Department events held in Athletic facilities and coordinate game operations for several varsity sports. They will also assist with training our student workers and graduate students in all athletic department facilities . Any violation of a conference or NCAA regulation, as well as those policies of the University, could cause dismissal of a participant or staff member, as well as, create negative publicity and/or conference or NCAA standings to the program and institution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the game manager for sports as assigned.
Administer personal communication and coordination with game officials in designated sports, per Conference and NCAA rules.
Assist with supervising and training graduate students and student workers for sporting events and facility rentals.
Assist with preparation and closing of the Stueckle Sky Center facility for Boise State Home Football Games and the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
Coordinate and oversee pre-game events for football games and the Idaho Potato Bowl.
Assist with overseeing special events, BAA, and athletic banquets held in the Stueckle Sky Center and other Boise State Athletic Facilities.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Conference and athletic department rules and regulations.
This position will be required to work nights and weekends to cover all necessary and assigned game management events and rentals held at our athletic facilities.
The position requires an understanding of working with and managing third party vendors for maximum efficiency and quality service work.
Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.
All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Including Certificates and Licenses):
A Bachelor’s Degree
Two (2) years of experience in similar type of work.
Two or more years of experience in an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics Facilities and Operations office.
Experience in training and leading student workers or graduate assistants.
Experience as an event manager for Division 1 Baseball program.
Two or more years of customer service experience.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with:
NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
Event scheduling methods, facility use agreements and event planning process.
Risk Management policies, procedures and principles and the ability to identify and resolve unsafe conditions.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
