General Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Head Football Coach are to conduct all aspects of the program within the philosophy and guidelines set forth by Alderson Broaddus University, the NCAA, and the G-MAC. The expectations of the head coach include, but are not limited to: commitment to the mission of Alderson Broaddus University, meeting the established recruiting goals of the athletic department, developing a competitive program, scheduling, conducting practices, budget oversight, travel planning, fundraising, and completion of any duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. •Previous college coaching experience, preferably as a Head Coach or Coordinator. •Knowledge and experience in recruiting student-athletes. •Knowledge or experience with NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
Term of appointment:
10-month responsibilities beginning August 1 through May 31 with occasional time needed throughout the summer for recruiting.

Maintain the assigned roster size for each year.
Monitor the academic progress of student athletes in the football program.
Ensure eligibility of student athletes in the football program.
Retain and graduate a satisfactory number of recruited student athletes.
Monitor the social behavior of all coaches and student-athletes in the football program.
Ability to exercise good judgment in problem resolution situations.
Hire, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches in coordination with the Director of Athletics.
Implement systems, practices, player development programs, and strength and conditioning programs.
Provide a program that is competitive at the G-MAC level.
Assist SID and Director of Marketing & Communications with marketing and promotions materials.
Perform duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Participate in community and campus life opportunities.
