The Athletics Department at Linfield College is seeking an Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Line. The Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Line assists the head football coach, and participates in recruiting high school and transfer athletes for the college’s football program. The Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Line supervises and co-coordinates the team’s offensive unit. Other duties as assigned by the head football coach or athletic director. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: •All principle duties and responsibilities for coach positions as defined within Section 3 of the Coaches Responsibilities and Expectations of Linfield College’s Intercollegiate Athletics Policies and Procedures Manual. •Develop and enhance a positive team image. •Develop and enhance the student athlete. •Develop and show improvement with regard to competitiveness of teams within the NWC and NCAA III. •Recruit student athletes that will enhance the level of competition. •Supervise and coordinate the offensive unit of the football team. •Requires evenings and weekend travel during football season.
Plans football practice in consultation with head coach and/or offensive coordinator. Plans specific functions performed by staff for an operating area within a department
Work performed includes complex tasks covered by broad practices and procedures. Considerable judgment and independent decision-making is required. Reports to department head.

Bachelor’s degree in related field of study and a minimum of three years of high school or college level football coaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, coaching and/or playing experience.
Possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.
Offensive line experience required; college offensive line coaching experience preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of NCAA III policies and guidelines preferred.
Work is physical in nature and requires constant seeing, hearing, talking, walking, and standing. Frequent running and climbing stairs. Occasional sitting and physically demonstrating football and physical education techniques. Constant exposure to weather elements. Requires operation of a motor vehicle and valid driver’s license. Requires evening and week work during football season.
