The Assistant Athletic Director for Game Experience and Marketing Services is responsible for the gameday experience for all football and basketball games and select Olympic sport games. This position is also responsible for other important marketing service functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop plans to create a positive gameday experience and atmosphere at football and men’s and women’s basketball games and select Olympic sport games. -Develop scripts for all games, manage videoboard, oversee fan interactions, game promotions and pre-game and half-time entertainment. -Develop and execute “fun zone” and/or “fan zone” activities at football and basketball games/events. -Serve as liaison with University Concessions. -Execute fan surveys and implement in-game enhancements. -Develop and execute plans leading to increased student attendance and campus excitement for athletics. This includes working with on-campus groups such as Student Involvement, Homecoming, Family Weekend, and other campus wide initiatives. -Create and execute fan and community-based promotional events and activities. -Implement athletics department marketing campaigns. -Serve as liaison with PlayFly to development promotions and for fulfillment of corporate sales efforts. -Service as liaison with University licensing, branding, and merchandising. -Serve as liaison with Cheerleading and bands. -Other projects related to game day experience and marketing services as assigned by the Deputy Athletics Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-A thorough knowledge of marketing, promotions and fan development is required. -Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required. -Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.

WORK HOURS:

Full-time, exempt position Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week; requires some work on weekends and nights

SALARY STRUCTURE: Pay Grade 7 (Hiring Range $52,829 to $69,999.00 annually)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

-Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
-Individual must have 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
