The position of Director of Conference Operations for the Southern Conference (SoCon) is responsible for managing a variety of important operational tasks that involve meeting and event planning, office manager responsibilities, daily business operation assistance and administrative support for the Commissioner. The position reports to the Commissioner. Conference meeting and event planning responsibilities include develop, plan, and coordinate arrangements for the annual fall and spring conference meetings, annual president’s and athletic director’s retreats, academic undergraduate research forum and entrepreneurship challenge events with host schools, assist with the coordination of football and basketball media days, select championships, and in-person coaches’ meetings.
