UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and Big 12 Conference member (effective July 1, 2023), is seeking applications for the position of Associate Director / Director of #Content.
Under the direction of the Associate A.D., #Content, this position serves as the lead role in the creation, implementation, and monitoring of strategic social marketing and promotional campaigns to increase the visibility of UCF sports programs with students, alumni, fans, and general public.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the Associate A.D., #Content, in-house design team, coaching staff and student-athletes on creative strategy and branding for UCF sports
Provide creative vision for content related to social media strategy that is both informative and engaging
Develop and oversee year-round social content calendar for select sports
Curate content for all sports (including football) to distribute on the program's social accounts, as well deliver content to student-athletes and coaches
Create assets through Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects to be used across multiple social channels to engage recruits, fans and donors
Capture and edit photos / video clips of practice, games and other team events
Effectively communicate with multiple areas within the external department to best capture and relay team news, highlights, event promotions, and additional information as assigned
Track and apply social media analytics to ensure quality and sound plan strategies
Contribute to the development and construction of in-house website / app
Stay current to industry / platform trends and ensure that UCF remains at the forefront of the content landscape
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Prefer a degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field and experience in web and graphic design. Adobe Creative Suite software, strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills also preferred. Due to the nature / scope of athletics and athletics events, position may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
