Located in South Texas, UTRGV boasts over 32,000 students including a Medical School. The Rio Grande Valley is currently ranked as one of the safest communities in the country, allowing over 1 million people to call the Hidalgo County home. UTRGV Athletics will soon feature 18 Division programs with the addition of women’s swimming and diving in Fall 2024 and FCS Football in Fall 2025. As a result, UTRGV Athletics is currently undergoing an $85M construction plan that will house sports and administration staff leading a record momentum across the institution and community.
