The Assistant Director of Creative Content-Video Specialist (Multimedia Specialist I) is responsible for the promotional and gameday experience video content for the Utah State’s Football Department. This position is a key member of the department and will report to the Director of Football Creative Content.
Duties will include creating intro videos for gameday, filming home events, obtaining b-roll for internal and external use, managing footage archive and deliver footage for media requests. Additional duties include coordinating, setup, capturing, production, and distribution of a wide variety of projects involving video, photo, and motion graphics. This will include weekly highlights and hype videos, recruiting visits, interviews, and various social media videos used for internal and external use. Assisting in scheduling and providing leadership to student workers.
In coordination with the Director of Football Creative Content, this position will be responsible for the decision making for creative content posted to USU’s various social media platforms. Position will be required to work during normal working hours, plus evening and weekends.
Responsible for pre- and post-production elements, editing, audio, and writing for original productions
Manage production projects from conception through completion, including producing, budgeting, scheduling, production team management, post-production supervision, distribution, and archive.
Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
Edit recap videos for social media within 24 hours of USU wins. Meet quick turnarounds and deadlines to create high-quality videos and animations for offseason, recruiting, and social media content.
Travel with teams to film post-season matches/bowl games/conference championships and create social media content for promotion.
Create videos for event promotion.
Film, edit and deliver videos and animations.
Create off-season videos used for recruiting and promotion.
Create videos to promote the events of the Football Department.
Create hype videos, intro videos, features, and other non-broadcast original content.
Assist with creation of content for web and social media channels following established brand guidelines.
Responsible for all equipment and maintenance to include but not limited to the cameras, lights, batteries, SD cards, etc.
Capture videos of behind-the-scenes content, live game action and the game day experience.
Other duties include assignments relating to storytelling, brand building, and fan engagement through digital platforms.
